Pain in Arm, Neck, Clavicle, and Hip
I want to thank Dr. Coberly from the bottom of my heart for the care he has given me these past few years. When I hurt my neck and couldn't lift my painful arm, he fixed it. Last summer, when I pulled my clavicle joint apart, he fixed it. When I twisted my hip in April and couldn't walk, he fixed it.

Il'l be 65 soon. I'm a small female and my biggest fear was that I would lose my job because I was hurt. I was so frightened and so anxious. I didn't file state compensation because I didn't want my boss to know I was hurt. He may have replaced me.

Dr. Coberly's rate was so low. When an orthopedic surgeon told me to wear a collar for my neck to keep it immobilized, I was already exercising it and remembered that Dr. Coberly said that joints will stiffen if they don't move. Already, his advice was working and with rubbing the muscles, eventually I was back to normal.

This last time I twisted my hip, and I was even more frightened. I watch people my age get injured and stay disabled. One after another end up having surgery and sometimes it doesn't help. Sometimes, it gets worse. But Dr. Guy fixed me again! I deeply thank him for his simplistic advice with exercising. Not only were there just a couple of exercises with my hip, but Dr. Coberly added, "You know how far to push it. It may feel as though you shouldn't exercise because it hurts, but it'll get better." I was sure I'd be back, but within two weeks I was working and had forgotten about my hip. All of the pain was gone.

I appreciate Dr. Guy. I tell everyone about him. I thank him again and again and again for the low cost, the treatment, the genuine concern he has, and the advice for exercising.

I'd like new patients to read this, but I'm not putting my name on it because I need to protect my job. At nearly 65, there are so many young people that could do it instead of me. Dr. Coberly's genuine concern reminds me to be more careful as I work.

Neck and Arm Pain, Debbie
I had such bad neck pain that extended to my right arm that the pain woke me up at night. I tried pain medication, but that only covered the pain and never took it away. A friend referred me to Dr. Coberly, and I was amazed that the x-rays showed my spine turned and without the correct curvature. Dr. Guy explained that these problems in my spine were causing the pain in my neck and arm. To date, I have had just four adjustments, and I have already seen great improvements. There has been no more pain in my arm, and I no longer wake up at night because the extreme pain that I had is gone now.  --Debbie L.

Knee and Hip Pain, Elaine
My Orthopedic Surgeon diagnosed me with cervical degenerative disc disease of the cervical spine and bilateral chondromalacia patellae, which is a wearing away of the cartilage in both knees. After a spinal fusion and five arthroscopy surgeries on both knees, I was still suffering from pain. I had increasing pain in my neck above the fusion, and with that less mobility over the years, my hips and my knees had increasing stiffness, which I thought was from my deteriorating cartilage.

After only two adjustments, the stiffness in my knees and hips was completely gone. At this time, I am two weeks into my adjustments and the pain in my neck and shoulder is almost gone. I can't express in words how happy and grateful I am for the way I feel now. I was convinced that over the coming years, I would be facing more spinal fusions, less and less mobility, and constant pain. Now I am looking to the future with a new, happier, and healthier vision. I thank God everyday for putting me into the skillful care of Dr. Coberly.  --Elaine M.

Low Back Pain, Geraldine
My lower back was in extreme pain, which made me uncomfortable standing for long periods of time and could not even be touched. I consulted with my family doctor, and after x-rays and a bone scan, he was unable to find anything wrong. After dealing with my pain and numbness for five months, my daughter suggested I see Dr. Coberly. Only a month of seeing Dr. Guy, I no longer have the pain in my back when I'm on my feet at work.  --Geraldine H.

Help with Military Service Duties, Harold
Harold J. has served our country in Iraq. Harold has been a Coberly Chiropractic patient since July 2002. Although he was only home on leave for a very short time, he made it a priority to make an appointment with Dr. Coberly. "It would be nice to have you (Dr. Guy) over there with us," commented Harold. Along side two of his platoon members, Harold is seen here with David Letterman, who visited our troops overseas. We honor Harold J. as well as all other servicemen this for keeping our country safe!   --Harold J.

Drug Free, Michelle
In 1997 I injured my lower back and was told that I had to quit doing regular housework, sports, and even school due to pain and lack of concentration from medications. After two epidurals, four cortisone shots, 81 trigger point injections, numerous oral medications that failed to ease any pain, physical therapy that didn't do much good, and six months of biweekly colchicines injections from an orthopedic specialist, I was still unable to lean forward or backward, sleep, or lift 20 pounds.

Upon referral, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Guy and began my regular chiropractic adjustments. Now, I can do just about everything I have missed out on for nearly five years! I am now able to ride horses, bike, camp, fish, and play golf and softball, clean house (unfortunately!), and even sleep through the night. I have tried so many other methods in an attempt to get my health back to normal. I was very surprised by the results and effectiveness of chiropractic and highly recommend it to others.  --Michelle S.

Neck and Hip Pain, Patty
I came to Dr. Coberly with a very badly wrenched neck and severe hip pain that had been going on for about a year. I had been to two doctors, who just told me to treat the hip pain with a high dose of ibuprofen. I sought help with Dr. Coberly, who fix the pains in my neck and hip. I no longer need ibuprofen and got a very beneficial side effect from the regular treatments. For years, I have had chronic allergic bronchitis that medical doctors have been treating as asthma. In fact, I have been recognized in public by my constant and irritating cough. I only mentioned this to Dr. Guy in passing as he explained the routine at my first visit. I had absolutely no expectations of getting over this cough as I had even been to three different specialists over this. Over the years, I had even gone to another chiropractor for it, but had no luck at the time. Well, now here is the good part: my cough is getting much better. I still take the asthma medicine and once in a while I use an inhaler, but I can definitely say that my cough has greatly reduced. The side effects of chiropractic were just what I needed.   --Patty L.

Neck Stiffness Pain, Sue
In 1989 I started having neck stiffness/pain and intermittent loss of hearing. My hearing sounded muffled. After consulting my family physician, an audiologist, who paced tubes in my ears, and massage therapists, I still had the same problems, and both doctors thought I was crazy. Eventually, I realized that if I turned my head in a certain way or stuck my index finger in a certain spot in my neck, my hearing got better. After going to Dr. Coberly's office several times a week for several weeks, I finally felt better and could hear! I still see Dr. Coberly when a problem starts creeping back in. I hope that if you suffer from headaches, which I do also, and if you feel you have tried everything, try Dr. Coberly.   --Sue E.

Damaged Finger, Judy
About 18 years ago I broke my finger while doing chores on my husband and I's family farm. The accident was so severe that the skin and fingernail were all that kept my finger attached to my hand, and I didn't have a joint in that finger. Furthermore, the whole finger was shorter than it used to be. The medical doctors told me that I would never have grip in that hand again because fingers work as a chorus, and since everything was stretched and torn in that finger, the damage would never be repaired. Then for other medical reasons, I began to see Dr. Guy. After he initially examined me, he asked what I had done to my elbow. The injury was so old, that I couldn't think of anything. But Dr. Coberly adjusted me anyway and focused on realigning my elbow. Amazingly, the grip in my right hand was immediately restored. Shortly after leaving his office, my arm from the elbow to my fingers began to tingle. I soon realized that his adjustment had just fixed an eighteen-year-old injury. So now I have the wonderful problem of adjusting to using two fully functioning hands. I was a predominantly right-handed person prior to my accident, and I'm excited to use it once again. What amazes me the most is that after all these years and medical doctors telling me that my hand could never be fixed, that one adjustment restored the muscles and nerves to make my finger and hand work properly once again.  --Judy W.

Low Back and Hip Pain, Linda
I suffered from lower-back and hip pain for at least two years. The pain had become so intense that I was unable to do the things I enjoyed as well as common, everyday chores. I was taking six to eight ibuprofen a day to be relieved from the pain. I was referred by my medical doctor to two therapists for a total of 36 weeks of therapy. After ultrasound, heat treatments, ice therapy, exercises, and manipulation therapy, I still had to take the ibuprofen after exercising. Additionally, I was unable to work in my garden for any length of time without having to lie down afterwards. I could not walk or hike any longer, and I was not able to snowshoe for several years. Then my friend told me how Dr. Coberly had helped her, so I scheduled an exam. Though I was impressed Dr. Guy and the results that he showed me, I waited another month before trying it. By this time, I was having difficulty walking up and down the stairs in my own home. After only three weeks, I have quit taking the ibuprofen almost totally and now take it once a week only if I have done a lot of work. I have resumed a 45-minute walk two to three times a week. Not only can I vacuum most of my house without pain, but I have taken a part-time job besides! So I have improved greatly thanks to Dr. Coberly.  --Linda B.

Stiffness, Jack
I had lower back pain and stiffness for approximately five years, and it was progressively worsening. I figured it was "old age" setting in and that this was just a natural order of progression. That's when a good friend, who had unbelievable results with chiropractic adjustments, suggested I see Dr. Coberly. After seeing my x-rays and listening to the doctor, I had no qualms about following his treatment program. Now I only wish I had pursued treatment earlier. After only four adjustments, all the pain and stiffness was gone! Now I can sit for long periods of time while fishing, hunting, or just out sight seeing in the car. If I can make a recommendation, it would be to get a chiropractic assessment when "ANY" negative situation arises with your health.  --Jack S.

Headaches, Wendy
It was discovered that I had three ruptured discs. Twelve years ago, I had surgery, which took part of the three discs out. Additionally, I experienced a work-related shoulder injury in 1983. All of these factors largely contributed to my pain and headaches. I was taking multiple prescriptions for pain, which included anti-inflammatory drugs, muscle relaxers, and prescriptions to help me sleep because my headaches were so unbearable. Then I remembered that my great grandfather was helped by chiropractor for many years. And a good friend of mine referred me to Coberly Chiropractic. I have been receiving regular adjustments from Dr. Coberly for only a few months. And I rarely take any of prescriptions for pain now! Previously, my conditions had kept me from working with the Shire draft horses and Shire warm bloods that my husband and I breed. I'm sure anyone can understand the physical effort needed to accomplish any work with draft horses. But now I'm able to do all activities associated with my horses. I have improved so much that I can't even recall how painful my back used to be. Anyone with any skeletal injury or pain should seek chiropractic care. The results of each of my adjustments were immediate.
