Whiplash
Whiplash neck injuries are among the fastest growing health problems today. The ever increasing number of automobiles rolling onto our congested streets and highways, the high speed of our freeway system, power brakes, and powerful engines all contribute to the growing frequency of the type of accident that can result in a whiplash neck injury.A whiplash neck injury occurs as the result of a sudden backward and forward whipping movement of the neck. This sudden, forceful movement often stretches or sprains the ligaments and muscles which hold the spinal segments within a critical range of movement or position. Failure of the holding ligaments to support the spine allows the spinal segments to become displaced, thus altering the normal mechanical balance of the spine. This increased stress results in eventual degenerative disease of the disc with spur formation, and the spurs will pinch the spinal nerve openings.
It is important to note that virtually every person involved in a moving vehicle accident suffers a whiplash injury to some degree. Its symptoms are not always readily clear. Some individuals experience no pain or discomfort for weeks following an accident, and it is advisable to seek competent whiplash injury diagnosis following any auto accident. Left untreated, a whiplash injury can lead to painful chronic health problems that can eventually lead to a lifetime of misery.

Testimonials
I came to Dr. Coberly with a very badly wrenched neck and severe hip pain that had been going on for about a year. I had been to two doctors, who just told me to treat the hip pain with a high dose of ibuprofen. I sought help with Dr. Coberly, who fix the pains in my neck and hip. I no longer need ibuprofen and got a very beneficial side effect from the regular treatments. For years, I have had chronic allergic bronchitis that medical doctors have been treating as asthma. In fact, I have been recognized in public by my constant and irritating cough. I only mentioned this to Dr. Guy in passing as he explained the routine at my first visit. I had absolutely no expectations of getting over this cough as I had even been to three different specialists over this. Over the years, I had even gone to another chiropractor for it, but had no luck at the time. Well, now here is the good part: my cough is getting much better. I still take the asthma medicine and once in a while I use an inhaler, but I can definitely say that my cough has greatly reduced. The side effects of chiropractic were just what I needed.
